Book Club Brunch – Chapter 1

Book Club Brunch – Chapter 1

Hiya IBC,

Whitney here with your weekly wrap-up! We’ve been hosting Imaginary Book Club for six months now, and are looking forward to bringing you more and more great content on books, literature and all things reading.

You may have noticed our recent facelift! Hope you like the new look. We’re also anticipating a few new writers joining us soon. Two new things happening immediately:

  1. Saturday Brunch weekly wrap ups! We’ll be sharing a weekly recap of what’s been going on at IBC headquarters, as well as links to some of our favorite bookish (and probably non-bookish) bits from around the internet. These Saturday posts will also be a time for y’all to connect – use the comments section to share the books you’ve been loving (or hating), link to something interesting you’ve read, or just catch up with each other.
  2. Book Review Tuesdays! After noticing that our book reviews were getting a little lost in the shuffle, we’ll now be dedicating every Tuesday to book reviews and only book reviews. Check in with us every Tuesday for reviews on everything from literary fiction to high fantasy to cozy mysteries and share your own thoughts and recommendations in the comments.

And with that, I’ll leave you to your first Book Club Brunch.

Ciao y’all,

Book Review | Killers of the Flower Moon, by David Grann

I first heard about Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI when a friend sent me an NPR article about it. I was immediately intrigued and downloaded the audiobook. After listening to a few chapters and finding out that the author, David...

About The Author

Whitney is the founder and one of the speediest readers behind Imaginary Book Club; delivering weekly book reviews, monthly favorites, and frequent recommended book lists with a side order of overwrought musings. After forming and joining book clubs in every city she lived in, Whitney finally decided to take the fun online to connect with fellow introverts who are also longing for a way to connect.

  1. Whitney

This is spoiling a review in progress, but I just finished Brooklyn and I loved it!! I heard Nancy didn’t enjoy it, and Austyn couldn’t get past the first few chapters, but I found it a quiet soothing story and really enjoyed it!!

What have y’all been reading this past week?

    • Austyn

      I haven’t started it yet!

  2. Whitney

Oh, and I also wanted to know if anyone has read a good biography of Sally Ride?
