Book Club Brunch – Chapter 25

Hello from the otherside…

Of 30!

I’ve officially crossed into can-no-longer-pretend-you-aren’t-an-adult land. It’s a challenge to admint that my 20s are behind me for good, but I’m happy to be entering what feels like a new stage in my life.

And what better way to kick off my 30s that with some Shakespeare?

Or at least a Shakespearean adaptation. I’m really excited to read Hag-Seed for our December book club pick! It’s been billed as such a fantastic read, and I think it’ll be very interesting to discuss.

The only real question is – who’s up for reading The Tempest at the same time?

Ciao,

Whitney

  1. Yes Emily was probably one of the best things about Gilmore Girls AYITL. I turned 30 this year too! It surprisingly didn’t hit me that hard. That probably means 40 will be awful. Happy birthday! Have a great week!

    • Thanks Sandy! I was talking to a friend last week after a 5k we ran, saying that she was never going to hit a personal best again (she was an athlete in high school), and it got me thinking that we should think of each decade as it’s own little life. Why not shoot for the “personal best” of your 30s? That idea gave me a new perspective!
