Book Club Brunch – Chapter 54

Hi there,

ROUGH WEEK Y’ALL. Freaking Nazis everywhere. This is just garbage.

As a little themed reading, I picked up a copy of Art Spiegelman’s The Complete Maus. I suppose when there are Nazi’s running wild, the best thing to do is to remember the last time that happened and keep in mind how important it is to use every ounce of your personal privilege to fight for the rights of people who don’t possess the same privilege.

It’s a real challenge to maintain energy, enthusiasm, and momentum in a resistance that’s about a slow burn in the face of racism and rage. To take care of myself, I also grabbed an old comfort read – Rosamunde Pilcher’s September.

What are you doing to keep yourself going?

Peace,

Whitney
